1963 Press Photo Berlin Zoo Elephant Kills Caretaker. Guenter Lenz.

Pictured is former animal caretaker Guenter Lenz. He was the unfortunate target of the ire of an elephant bull named "Salim." In front of 300 spectators Salim unexpectedly grabbed Lenz and slammed him against a wall. The 39 year old would later die from his injuries.
