1954 Press Photo Reflector Light on Hats for German Pedestrians.

Drivers were becoming increasingly agitated with pedestrians, saying that they could not see them well. These reflector lights were designed in a newly opened textile plant in Koeln and would reflect light as to inform drivers of their presence.
