1962 Press Photo Pastry Lovers Line Up for Free Treats

Pear pastries were given out for free to the housewives who were unwinding this morning at the corner of Rue de Buci and Rue de Seine. A protest in the country allowed them to save 5,000 tons of pears from the Rhone valley which desperately needed using.
