1979 Press Photo President Giscard D'Estaing Attends Drills

Wearing an army parka with the presidential symbol on it, President Giscard D'Estaing attended drills, some of the most important seen since the last war, on the "Saone 79" fields. 18,000 men, 5,200 vehicles, 120 helicopters, and 200 planes participate in the exercise from October 1st to 7th.
