Children's sports in residential areas: Gymnastics for the little ones are a big-time thing in the sporting community of "Coubertin." Every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00-5:00 the 4-6 year olds from the residential district of 14 Berlin-Friedrichshain meet in the Central Club for Youth and Athletics in Karl-Mark Alley to play sports under the guidance of volunteer trainer Anni Sauer. Anni Sauer, a dance instructor and gym teacher with over 30 years of experience under her belt, has also conducted a gymnastics-course that is now attended by more than 50 women. Interest in sports for children is always good to see. Pictured: The siblings Cornelia and Gerhard Strösel play with ever more zeal.
