1956 Press Photo Jean Piedalu Named France's Best Kitchen Apprentice

The National Apprentice Cook Competition was held at the Hospitality School of Paris yesterday, during which the "Best Young Kitchen Hand in France" was chosen based on his execution of the two following plates: "Florentine Brill Supreme" and "American Grilled Chicken". 18 year-old Mr. Jean Piedalu won the title. Mr. Piedalu is pictured tasting one of his dishes after the competition.
