Painting once sold for £ 17. Fetches 36,000 Guit~eas. Believed to be an original "El Greco". A sensation was created this morning at Christies when "Lot 14" was sold for 36,000 guineas. The painting is described as "Christ Healing the Blind" by P Veronese - and it was e~~d at Christies in 1888 for 17 Guineas. Experts are convinced that the paintings is an early El Greco. Photo shows General view at the Sale today as Sir Alec Mart~ accpets the bid of 36,000 guineas from Mr. Geoffrey Agnew a Bond street art dealer.
