Painting One Sold For £17 - Petches 36,000 guineas believed to be an original "El Greco": A sensation was created this morning at Christies when "Lot 14" was sold for 36,000 guideas. The painting is described as "Christ Healing the Blind" by P. Veromese - and it was sold at Christies in 1888 for 17 Guineas. Experts are convinced that the painting in an early 17 Guineas.
