Petrol Strike Threatens to Halt London: Empty Petrol tanks face London and the Home Countries this morning as the result of the unofficial strikes of 6,000 Petrol-tanker drivers. Ministers were meeting today to prepare emergency plans to use troops to distribute petrol if the strike continues. Photo Shows Taxi-drivers Ernest coeling (left) and R. Horne are seen loading a taxi-cab with "Jerry" cans full of petrol from a Clapham garage, one of the very few who still had Supplies.
