Jubilation and turbulence surrounded the new German football champion FC Bayern Muchen: First about 73,000 visitors celebrated enthusiastically the successful team after the 2:1 win over Eintracht b raunschweig in the last game of the football Bundesliga season. Then at Saturday evening May 31st, 1980 10,000 fans came to the Munich/West Germany Marienplatz in front of the town hall to give the players a sensational welcome. The mayor of Munich presents the captain of the football team of FC Bayern Munchen a great cup. The Official trophy of the German football championship, the so-called "salad-bowl", a large plate of silver, was handed over by the chairman of the German football association immediately after the finale whist: of the last game in the Olympic stadium of Munich/West Germany.
