Description
Presumable Terrorist Til Meyer rescued from Berlin prison: On Saturday 27th May, 1978, the arrested Til Mayer (34), a presumable German terrorist, was rescued from the Berlin prison Moabit. In the early morning two women, who presented passports with the names fischer and Siegmund (these are Berlin woman-lawyers), could pass without any control. Not checked, they could go into the prison with their pistols and push forward to the so-called foyer in front of the cells, where Til Meyer and Andreas Vogel (both presumable assassination) were speaking with their lawyers. The two women caught Til Meyer, while andreas Vogel was brought into his cell by a quick-witted official. An other official was taken as whip and shot into the legs, - and by this the warder opened the door or Moabit and the women and Til Meyer could get free and away in a waiting VW-bus. Photo shows Berlin Senator of Justice, Jurgen Baumann, the responsible man. Now, after the affair has happened, he was called to resign by politicians.

Photo measures 5.75 x 8.75 inches.
