1971 Press Photo Second Ministerial Meeting Group 77 Peruvian President Speaking

Second Ministerial meeting of the "Group of the 77": The President of Peru, General Juan Velasco Alvarado, delivered the opening speech at the Second Ministerial Meeting of the "Group of the 77", being held in Lima. Representatives from 95 Latin American, African and Asian countries are attending the event, in order to reach an unanimous criterium in connection with the economic policy to be followed by underdeveloped countries. This conference will serve Third World countries as a preparation for the Second UNCTAD Conference to be held in Chile in the near future.
