President Of Peru Travels Through The South Of His Country.: The second tour by President Juan Velasco Alvarado in the three years of government ended on October 8 1971 with a rally in the capital. After travelling eleven days through the southern provinces General Velasco Alvarado emphasized that "the union of the people and its armed forces is an indestructible reality now more than ever". The tour of the Peruvian president, who was accompanied by various minsters and government officials, was warmly greeted in all the places he visited.
