Leaving the Alps A typical sign of the summer going near its end in Switzerland are the Alpine herdsmen in their traditional costumes leaving the mountains with their animals. Sometimes this is making problems because they use the same streets as the traffic, but usually everybody likes to see this colourful spectacle.
