1968 Press Photo Building Collapse Police, Victim

Part of block of flats collapses.: Working with bulldozer and cranes, rescue workers were today searching among the debris after the collapse of part a 22-storey block of flats at Butcher's Road, Canning Town. Three people have been are known to have dead, seven injured and seven so far unaccounted for. Photo shows a body is carried from the ruins to a waiting ambulance - at the scene of the collapse today.
