Continual Rainfall causes the worst floods in India For 50 years : Continuous rainfall has caused serious flooding around New Delhi and thousands of acres of farmland are under water after a breach in the Dhansa embankment, about 30 miles from the capital, Naval divers have entered the Najafgarth drain in an effort to clear a passage for the vast volumes of water from the Punjab and Rajastan. Three people were drowned and thousands were marooned when the floods entered the suburbs of new Delhi.
