Worst August weather for seventy five years the River Tweed overflows: According to experts the weather in many parts of the country has been the worst for August for seventy five years. Following cloudbursts many parts have been flooded. Photo shows the scene at Kelso where the River Tweed overflowed its banks. The height of the floodwaters can be judged by the house in centre.
