1957 Press Photo Police Investigating Kidnapped Girl's Prison Marjorie Jordan

Girl says she was "Held Prisoner" in garden cave: Police are investigating the case of 28 year old Miss Marjorie Jordan who says she was kept a prisoner in a garden cave for fifteen weeks by 26 year on Mr.John Bridal at the latter's home in Lewishire, London.The girl was reported missing from her home in wi~~~~~ Way, Beckenham on Jan 7th.Mrs. Hutchinson - a neighbour in Lewisham found a note on her lawn which read "I am Miss M.Jordan, missing from Elmers End. I am being kept a prisoner under a big shed. He has got me in the ground where there is a room.He is keeping me here. Will you please help me call the police"..The Police found Miss Jordan - and she is now staying at the home of her brother-in-law in Beckenham, Mr.bridal says he did not detain Miss Jordan against her will - except for the first few days.
