Description
Bank-robbery defeated. On Feb 28th, 57, nineteen years old keeper of a gasoline station, Stefan Melzer-Grewe, entered the savings bank of the little town of Balve / Westphalia. He threatened the purser with a pistol and tried to make money out off the money-chest. Meanwhile a client of the bank, merchant Franz Gercken, 22, attacked the gangster and succeeded to catch him though he was blessed by a shot of the robber's pistol. Soon some employees of the bank jumped over the barrier, overwhelmed the gangster and called for the police. These scenes were repeated for the German television, now. Without the gangster himself, who was replaced by a double, all persons are the same.
