Flying Helmet of The "Red Baron" Handed Over To The RAF Museum At Hendon. A portrait of Baron Manfred von Richthofen the German World War I flying ace, dominating the scene at the RAF Museum at Hendon yesterday when his nephew, Baron Donat von Richthofen (right), presented to Air Commodore Freddy West, V.C. a chamois leather helmet once worn by the "Red Baron". The portrait, by Henry Campbell, was also presented.
