Toacanini's Portrait-painted to music Nicholas Ecow and He had never met... Nichoslas Egon the famous portrait painter is now putting the finishing touches to his posthamous portraits of Tosca Nini the famous Italian conductor. Egon had never met moods-he played records of his music the whole time he was painting. Egon has painted four portraits in all-the first three taking several weeks. and then, to a recording of Toscannis Verdi's Requiem-the final one was completed in an hour.. All four of the portraits are to be exhibitied at the Royal Festival Hall next year. Photo shows Nicholas Egon selects records by Tosenini-as he looks three of the portraits at his Hampstead Studio.. The final portrait is on the casel.
