Volcano erupts off coast of Iceland.: Thousands of inhabitants had to be evacuated to the mainland following the eruption of the volcano Helgafall on the island of Heimaey, in the Westman Islands of the South Coast of Iceland. Photo shows some of the inhabitants remove articles of furniture, on the volcano island.
