1968 Press Photo Ameridgo Petrucci,Ex-Mayor of Rome arrested

Ex-Mayor of Rome arrested: Ameridgo Petrucci, 44, who suddenly quit as mayor of Rome with the city administration in bankruptcy, was arrested here on charges of ambazzlement. He was accused of misusing his authority for personal financial gain when he was head of a state welfare agency before he became mayor in 1964. Petrucci has resigned as mayor as few month ago to stand in the national parliamentary elections next summer. He is a member of the Christian Democrat party of Premier Aldo Moro.
