(Illegible)'' inventor of the sound film Joseph Massolle: Died in complete poverty from cancer in a hospital at Western Berlin. Joseph Massolle, who received the honorary-doctor degree and the DIstinguished Service Cross of the Federal Republic of Germany, nevertheless fell into oblivion, and sometimes did not have the money to buy his daily bread.
