Radar gun catches speeding motorists: Hundreds of motorists facing speeding prosecutions after being trapped by a new Radar ''Gun'' which police have been using since the beginning of the month. The device, costing £800 and resembling a hair dryer, is pointed at an on coming vehicle,while hand held by a policeman, to obtain an instant speed reading. Made is Canada and designed by a former Nazi V-Rocket engineer, ti is the first new radar speed equipment to be introduced to Britain for 16 years. Photo shows Hand Held radar speed checking device being demonstrated on the A4 near Maiden head by Thames Valley Motorcycle patrolman Pe Malcolm James.
