Tackling a Tough Task.: High above the black Fylingdale Moor, eleven steeplejacks are tackling the toughest job of their career - watched by security guards. The men, hand picked from the firm of P.C. Richardson. of Middlesbrough are specialists in the art of painting and scaling the most difficult types of jobs. but this one provided them with a headache - painting the three massive 'golf balls' early warning radar domes 160 feet up in the North Yorkshire moors - at the Ballistic Missile Early Warning Station at Fylingdale. Photo shows An idea of the size of the massive randomes' at Fylindale, can be judged by these men - one on top and on at the bottom, of the dome in the foreground.
