Radio Amateur hits the moon: Peter Blair has become the world's first radio amateur to bounce a signal off the moon to an other continent thanks to his wife powered aerial. A morse message from the garage of Peter's bungalow in Chaplin Close, Chelmsford, Essex, was picked by the US? Government's giant radio telescope in Porte Rice, West Indies, The Americans have powerful meters to turn thier Aerial, Peter has his 28 year old wife Fileen, she sat on the roof of the garage and kept the aerial pointing at the moon. The US radio telescope cost ~3 million. Peter made his dish aerial for ~5. Photo Shows Peter and his Fileen with his home made aerial that hit the moon.
