Christmas lectures at the Royal Institution: The first of a course of six lectures, the subject of which is "The Exploration of the Universe' - by Sir Bernard Lovell, O.B.E., F.R.S., and Professor F. Graham Smith, M.A., of the Nuffield Radio Astronomy laboratories, Jodrell Bank and by Professor Martin Ryle, M.A., F.R.S. and Dr. A. Hewish, of the Mullard Radio Astronomy observatory. Cambridge, was held today at the Royal institution, Albemarle-Street. Photo Shows Dr. A. Hewish, explains the use of a spectroscope to children, at the first of the lectures held today at the Royal Institution.
