The Kon TIki boys comes cruising down the Thames.: Old Man River gets an adventuruos crew. Five Bristol Boy Scouts on their home-made replica of the famous Kon Tiki raft are floating on oil drums down the Thames. They started from Lechlade, Gloucestershire, on Sunday. But it's hard work poling - it took them three days to cover 16 miles. They hope to reach Oxford tomorrow. They are seen here at Shifford Lock, Oxfordshire. The trip, including building the raft and its transport to the river, cost £3 2s, a head.
