"Hippie" Police seize 100 pop fans at a Pop festival in reading: Detectives in hippie gear searched hundreds of teenager for drugs at the Reading Pop Festival yesterday, and more than 100 fans were arrested. It was estimated that some 20,000 fans camped out all night despite the heavy rain. Photo Shows Policemen watch as youths with gaudily painted faces arrive at the Festival site yesterday.
