Thieves Steal £6-Million In World's Biggest Bank Robbery of The French Riviera Thieves pulled off the world's biggest bank robbery escaping with about £6-million in cash and jewellery on the French Riviera at the weekend. The thieves tunnelled into the vaults through a sewer. The bank, the major branch of the Societe Generale in Nice in in the City's main shopping street, Avenue Jean-Medellin.
