Famous Paintings Found in a Shed - are on show in London. Exhibition of Italian Art at Royal Academy.: A Private View was held today at the Royal Academy of the Winter Exhibition entitled "Italian Art in Britain". Among the exhibits are five large paintings which were found in a shed in ireland - and which are identified as being the work of the eighteenth Century Venetian artist Francesco Guargi. The paintings illustrate a sixteenth century poem on the Crussades. They are owned by Mr. Geoffrey Merton an insurance broker of St. John's Wood, London. Photo shows "Erminia and the Shepherds" one of the paintings found in a shed.
