Description
Italian Movie Star became Muslim: Marcella Michel Anglo, 25, an Italian movie star from Genoa, Italy, went to Cairo to convert her religion and embrace Islam before the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Mosque after being convinced of the principles of Islam. She changed her name to Fatma Mohammed Abdallah to cope with her new faith. This was not her first visit to Cairo. Two years ago she came to Cairo to shoot a co-production film called "heroes in the Desert". She was married to an Italian scenarist 5 years ago and had no children. While in Cairo, she was deeply impressed by the kindness, generosity of the friendly and peace loving people of the country. She realized that Islam imposes forgiveness and love over the Muslims. She promised to preach Islam in her country and construct a mosque in Rome as a symbol of embracement between Islam and Christianity. The mosque will be provided with a big library which will contain various books on Islam in three languages. Photo Shows Marcella Michel Angelo (Fatma Mohammed Abdalla) before the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Mosque, Dr. Mohammed El Faham.
