Burghley three-day trials the cross country event: Some of the finest horses and best riders in Britain were competing in the Three-day Trials in the setting of Burghley Park, Lines., the Elizabethan home of the Marques of Exeter Yesterday, they were taking part in the Cross country event, negotiating 28 fixed fences over a four-mile course. Photo shows "Merry Judge", ridden by Miss. J. Walkinton, is seen taking the Sleeper Bank jump in the Cross Country event yesterday.
