Needlework of Mary, Queen of Scots On Display.. The Oxburgh Hangings.. The Oxburgh hangings - presented to the Victoria and Albert Museum by the National Art Collections Fund in 1953 - have been undergoing repair for the past two years - and are now on display at the Museum. The hangings are the work of Mary, Queen of Scots - and Elizabeth, Countess of Shrewsbury (Bess of Hardwick) - done while the Queen was the custody of the Earl of Shrewsbury at Tutbury Castle..
