The "unknown spectator of football-games" : had been set a monument at Herne/Germany (Herne). The town Herne in the Ruhr-district is said to be one of the most important towns for football, so the city-fathers asked sculptor Elisabeth Hoffmann (ELisabeth Hoffmann) to make a stone plastic, 2 metres high, which is generally said to be the "monument of the unknown spectator of football - games".
