Abandoned By mother. Following a much celebrated birth of a 31b. 80z. Bornean orangutan, keepers and officials at the San Diego zoo have been thrown into the depths of emotional dis-pair. "Guy", their much prized newcomer has been rejected by his mother. Despite every effort by officials, the primate mother indicated that she doesn't want to rear her off spring. But all is not lost. The "child" has been placed in a nursery and reared by human hands. Latest reports reveal that Guy is making a good adjustment and when last seen was having a fine time just aping around.
