Presentation of Mural from Norway to UN Security council chamber. New York per ("illegible"), artist of Norway presents picture symbolizing the artists' hope and trust of what the world will be like some day. In the foreground is the world we are forsaking, painted in sinister shade of verdigris, rust and steel-blue. The remainder is in light bright colors and ascending lines. The soldier, having run the sword lays down the weapon enters the U.N. The man and woman on the left emerge from the slought of despond and on the right a white, a yellow and a black captive are being released. Ma~kind is thronging into the new world to join the phoenix ~~ meet open-handed with outstretching arms. Equal is symbolized by a group of persons weighing out grain so that all share alike. In the center is an oval pane~ which the artist calls "peace".
