Description
Exit a guilty duck in a flurry of feathers. Mr. Drake has been helping to a second cup of tea, via the spout and he's beating a hasty retreat via the window as he hears Mrs. Ford's footsteps coming in the direction of the kitchen. Mr. Drake Is A Domest Catet Duck: Every morning ~precisely 9 o'clock, just as she has finished washing up the breakfast things, Mr. E. Ford of Coulsdon, Surrey has a visi~ior. It's Mr. Fake, the domesticate duck, and he's called for his breakfast. As soon as he appears t the window above the si~lk, Mrs. E. Ford puts a cup of tea, and a plate of brown ~red and butter on the draining board. Having finished his breakfast, Mr. Drake hops into the sick to take his morning toilet. Sometimes, Sally the cat comes along to see what's doing, but when Mr. Drake Splashes her, she beats a hasty retreat. When Mrs. Ford leaves the teapot in the draining board, te~p~~tion is too much for the tea-loving Mr. Drake, who pops his beak to inside the spout for a "second Cuppa", but that gives him a guilty conscious and when he hearts Mrs. Ford's footsteps approaching the Kitchen, heads off out of the window in a flurry of eathers and back into the safety of his own private swimming ~ool - a bucket in the garden.
