The Kittens Tea Party: This is one of Walter Potter's best set pieces and finest examples of his art as a taxidermist. It contains 37 kittens, and on the table are perfect reproductions of the food. Facial expressions are exquisite. The courteous kitten at one end of the table is actually offering this companion a tray of mouse tarts. All the kittens stuffed by otter for this case, were obtained from a farm at Henfield, where they represented those put to sleep from litters of farm cats:
