1958 Press Photo Flood scenes in the South of England

Flood scenes after last night's storm; Many homes were flooded and buildings damaged in last nights terrific storm, which swept the South of England. Photo Shows Mr. L. Newell, salvages some of his belongings from his house called "Sunnydene", at Billericay, Essex, this morning. He and his wife were rescued from their left by boat in the early hours this morning.
