Delacroix painted this picture of George Sand's night shirt: " A Reading Lesson" painting by the famous French artist Delacroix (of the Romantic School) now exhibited at the gallery Charpentier. Delacroix painted it while he was staying as guest of the famous woman novelist George Sand. As the artists had no canvass available, the painted on a night shirt lent by his hostess.
