First Autumn Field Training Exercise for Bundeswehr: Units of the 2nd Grenadier Division of the German Bundeswehr take part in the first large scale autumn manoevers held by the Bundeswehr. Most of the German soldiers taking part in this exercise are draftees with only a short training. Photo shows a swimming bridge over the EDER near Frankenberg which was built by pioneers during the exercise.
