Parachute Units Leave Portsmouth for the Mediterranean. Farewell Hug for Sergeant and Wife.: Units of the 16th Independent Parachute Brigade Group left Portsmouth yesterday aboard the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Theseus - bound for the Mediteranean - in view of the Sues Crisis. Photo shows Sgt. John Paxton of Edinburgh - and his wife Margaret - have a farewell hug - while surrounded some of his airborne pals - when they left surrounded by some of his airborne pals - when they left Portsmouth - to board the aircraft carrier for the Nediterranenant.
