1959 Press Photo Electrical Storm Damage, South England

Homes Flooded In The Great Storm: Much damage was caused last night in what was described as "one of the most spectacular electric storms of the century", which swept the South of England. Many homes were flooded and buildings damage. Rail and road chacs was caused in the London area. Photo shows Floodwater being swept from a London home - at Silvertown, in the storm last night.
