Dr. John Bodkin Adams appears in court at Eastboune faces sixteen charges: Dr. John Bodkin Adams of Eastbourne appeared in court yesterday. He is prosecuted on sixteen charges, Three of them under the Cremation Act; Three offences of causing articles to be delivered to patients "by means of a forged instrument"; Four forgeries of National Health Prescriptions, with intent to defraud; One Offence of obtaining vaccine with a forged instrument; One offence of causing delivery of drugs and medicine by a false pretence and Three offences under the Dangerous Drugs Act - trying to conceal morphine; obstructing a detective and failing to keep a proper register.. Dr. Adams was alleged to had a bedside talk about a will with 88 year old Mr. James Priestley Downs - two months before the patient died. Dr. Adams was left £1,000 in Mr. Downs' Will..
