1958 Press Photo 6 Foot Statue of Venus Found on Roof of Brighton College

Six-foot statue of Venus is found on roof of Brighton College of Arts: A plaster figure of Venus, 6-foot tall, and weighing half a ton was found on the 6- ft high roof of the Brighton College of Art yesterday. It was painted pink. The police were called and students removed the statue. Photo shows Jackie Quertier (standing) and Caroline Merriman are seen washing of the paint after Venus had come to earth - by order.
