Work starts on cleaning St. Paul's: The mammoth job of cleaning St. Paul's Cathedral, for the first time in 250 years, has begun. Workman are busy on the historic buildings Est Front - up to now the only part for which there are enough funds available. The Dean said cleaning the whole cathedral would cost about £100,000. Photo shows the clock-tower of St. Paul's with scaffolding on it as workmen get busy today.
