1974 Press Photo Women And Children Squat St John Bosco Church Near Cinceitta

Over a hundred Roman shantydwellers, mostly women and children, occupied the church of St John Bosco in the city's outskirts near Cinecitta, after police had forced them out of new apartments in which they had been squatting. The priest of the church provided food for the occupiers, some of them stood near the great cross on the cupola of the church.
