1956 Press Photo Mosaics At Sicily's "Valley of The Temples"

Mosaics At Sicily's "Valley of The Temples" Important new mosaics were recently uncovered during excavation work in the Archaeological zone of Agrigento, Sicily, in the so-called "Valley of the Temples".. They appear to be remains of a Roman city which was destroyed by fire, or some other catastrophe of nature.. Excavation work is being carried out by the Superintendent of Antiquities.. The temples so far uncovered on the site are illuminated at night for the benefit of visitors. Keystone Photo Shows:- A mosaic in the centre of which is a representation of a deer.
